Blogapalooza and MBC Media Group Unite for KOLab: A First-of-its-Kind Creator-Media Collaboration

Blogapalooza, the Philippines’ premier influencer marketing company, partnered with MBC Media Group to launch KOLab, a first-of-its-kind collaboration designed to immerse content creators in the dynamic world of broadcast media.

KOLab opened its doors for the BlogaFam to experience what it’s like to be on the other side of the mic and camera—sitting on the anchor’s desk, going live on air as radio DJs, exploring voice dubbing, and engaging in creative activities that fostered collaboration and learning.

“In Blogapalooza, we believe that content creators should know more than just the digital space,” said Ace Gapuz, CEO of Blogapalooza. “When we first spoke with MBC Media Group in December 2024, we knew this would be a great opportunity to expose creators to traditional media—radio, TV, and even print. Experiences like these not only expand their knowledge but also enhance their value as creators.”

For many attendees, KOLab offered a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into how traditional media continues to thrive and intersect with modern content creation.

“The main goal of bringing the content creators to MBC was threefold,” said Vince Jaen, AVP of Integrated Media and Head of Talent Management Group, MBC Media Group. “First, to connect with them and introduce our influencers to theirs; second, to let them experience how we create content—be it drama, radio, or digital; and third, to KOLab with them. Because when creators meet, magical things truly happen.”

Creators expressed their excitement over the activities, particularly the opportunity to engage with industry professionals.

“I loved bonding with the radio DJs! Before, I only heard them when my parents tuned in to the radio during car rides. Now, I finally got to put a face to those voices—they were so fun and kind!” shared Marge, a beauty and travel content creator.

KOLab stands as a testament to how collaboration between content creators and traditional media can spark new ideas, create shared experiences, and open doors to future opportunities.
